Space Nuptials

    The comet forever traversed the ellipse
    Seeking light warmth as it polled for its mate;
    Through eons of solitude unyielding wisps
    Of unreachable stars were denying its fate.

    Long the hushed silence had frozen its heart
    Lost in black isles of quest's hapless despair;
    Loving allureness,  though stifled apart
    Clung to its tail as a wish seeming fair.

    Yearned thermal beckonings wrapt inner core
    Lifted in descant its icicled stone;
    Racing midst ebony voids without shore
    Ceding its sleep to an unfathomed home.

    Bright came a solace bejewelled in her luster
    Calling his orbital bend by her whims;
    Liltingly molten she melted his cluster
    Drawn magnetizing her radiant limbs.

    Boldly their ether conjoined and reveled
    Spheres of like paths kismet-crossed and beheld;
    Solar held comet danced joy-refined meld
    Balanced perfection in velvetine weld.

    Thence became one and no longer forsaking
    Circling each other in harmony's grace;
    Singing their song for the universe waking
    Coupled forever to blend within space.
